Stitch Fix

My friend referred me to Stitch Fix last May and I’ve been loving it ever since! It feels like a little luxury that I wouldn’t normally be able to afford. If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s a personal styling service. You fill out a style profile based on your style preferences, lifestyle and budget and a personal stylist curates a box of 5 items and mails them to you. You keep what you love, and you return what you don’t want. There is a $20 styling fee, but that $20 is applied to anything you purchase from your fix. Essentially there is no fee if you buy something! If you buy all 5 items, you get 25% off!

I love the element of surprise! It’s so exciting to be waiting for a box of clothes and have no idea what’s coming. It feels like Christmas morning every time a fix arrives!! My favorite part of having Stitch Fix is requesting clothing for specific events. Whenever I have a trip or special event coming up I let my stylist know and they pick items specifically for that. I’ve personally had the most luck with finding cute shirts for vacation!

Now, in full disclosure the stylists aren’t mind readers. Sometimes I get items I’m not crazy about but I’ve always like at least one thing so I’ve never lost my styling fee.  I’ve heard their goal is to send you 1 to 2 items that you love. You can also link your Pinterest style board to your Stitch Fix account and pin items you love to give them a better idea of your style. I highly recommend doing this! Sometimes you even get exact items you’ve pinned!

Stitch Fix lets you select how often you’d like to receive a fix. I schedule on demand so that I pick and choose when I want to receive a box and when I feel comfortable spending the money. If you prefer to get a box once a month or once every other month, that’s up to you!

This service is great for fashion lovers (men & women), busy moms who don’t have time to shop, and working professionals! They also offer maternity clothing and petite sizing!

P.S. – My husband gave me a Stitch Fix gift card for Christmas, I LOVED it! If you are trying to think of a unique Valentine’s Day gift, give this a try!
